CII Global Exchange Program

Please review the following program requirements. 

• Applicants must be Certified CII members in good standing, have at least seven years of professional investigative experience and follow the CII Code of Ethics. Participants must be able to communicate in English or another language agreed with the host.
• Visits usually last 3–7 days. The duration, timing and content of each exchange are agreed individually.
• There is no CII program fee. Guests arrange and pay all costs of their participation, including travel, visas, accommodation, meals, local transport, insurance and other expenses. Neither the host nor CII is responsible for these costs.
• Hosts decide what they are willing and able to show, explain or share. There is no standard agenda or guaranteed access to cases, clients, information or particular activities. The scope of the visit is agreed with the guest in advance.
• All observation and information sharing remain subject to local law, licensing requirements, client authorization, confidentiality and safety. Participation does not authorize investigative work abroad or create an employment arrangement.
